STEM-проекти від Scientix

"15-й Семінар з наукових проектів у класній лабораторії майбутнього", організований Scientix та Amgen Teach в Брюсселі з 23-го по 25 червня, мав на меті ознайомити учителів з усієї Європи з STEM проектами, які підтримуються European Schoolnet. Ці проекти допоможуть пов'язати теоретичні знання, отримані на уроках, з реальним життям, сприятимуть зростанню інтересу до вивчення природничо-математичних дисциплін і ознайомлять учнів з перспективними STEM професіями.

15-й семінар-практикум "Наукові проекти в класній лабораторії майбутнього" (Брюссель, Бельгія)

Наше знайомство з Scientix (Європейською спільнотою для наукової освіти) почалось навесні 2017 р., коли учителі гімназії ім. Шевченка вирішили по-новому провести тиждень інформатики. Школа починає впроваджувати елементи STEM-освіти в навчально-виховний процес, тому ми відчували потребу залучити всіх учнів і вчителів НВО до глобального міжпредметного проекту, обрати який-небудь об'єкт і роздивитись його з точки зору всіх шкільних дисциплін і долучити позакласні гуртки. Так народився загальногімназійний STEM проект "Яблуко". Інна Рожанчук, учитель української мови і літератури, ідеолог і режисер проекту, пояснює: "Чому проект називається  «Яблуко»? Цей плід для людства є справді особливим. Перефразувавши вислів євангеліста Іоанна «Спочатку було Слово», можна сказати: «Спочатку було яблуко». З нього почалася земна історія людства. Цей фрукт став символом пізнання, тобто прагнення до освіти й науки. Однак саме яблуко теж можна дослідити в різних галузях та сферах знань. Зверніть увагу на наше умовне яблуко як на  об’єкт вивчення різних дисциплін."

 

Подорожуючи сторінками Інтернету, я натрапила на надзвичайно цікавий ресурс з STEM-освіти Scientix. Виявилось, що час проведення нашого проекту співпадав з часом проведення Європейського тижня STEM (STEM Discovery Week). Ми подали заявку на участь в міжнародному конкурсі, присвяченому STEM Discovery Week, і наш проект посів друге місце в номінації "STEM-подія". Всіх переможців було запрошено до участі в 15-му семінарі-практикумі "Наукові проекти в класній лабораторії майбутнього", що відбувся 23.06-25.06 в Брюсселі під егідою European Schoolnet. Подію відвідали 60 учасників з майже 20 країн Європи. Під час семінару учасники ознайомились з актуальними STEM-проектами, відвідали Future Classroom Lab (надсучасну STEM-лабораторію), стали учасниками майстер-класу по проектуванню сучасного уроку в класі майбутнього із застосуванням ресурсів лабораторії FCL. Також, учителі з різних куточків Європи мали змогу поділитись власним досвідом впровадження STEM-освіти під час прогулянок центром Брюсселя. Прекрасна архітектура і смачний бельгійський шоколад надали нам натхнення і енергії для подальшої роботи.

В подальших моїх дописах обіцяю детальний опис надзвичайно цікавих STEM-проектів, про які я дізналась на семінарі і екскурсія сучасним навчальним простором Future Classroom Lab.

 

Міждисциплінарний STEM-ART проект "Яблуко" - призер міжнародного конкурсу!

Чудова новина! Наш проект "STEM-ART фестиваль "Яблуко" посів друге місце на міжнародному конкурсі 2017 STEM Discovery week в номінації "STEM-подія"! Міжнародне журі високо оцінило якість нашої роботи. Нас запросили взяти участь в 15-му семінарі-практикумі наукових проектів "the Future Classroom Lab" (SPW@FCL), що проходитиме в Брюсселі 23-25 червня під егідою Европейської організації Scientix!!!

The STEM Discovery Week from 24 to 30 April 2017 celebrated all the opportunities that studies and careers in the field of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) have to offer. Taras Shevchenko Himnazia joined the celebrations by running a whole school STEM event called STEM-ART Fest "Apple". It turned out a great festival in which participated not only all students and teachers of our school, but also members of a wider community, like local farmers, entrepreneurs and representatives of STEM professions. The event was held under the aegis of the Junior Academy of Science of Ukraine and Kirovohrad In-Service Teacher Training Institute. The main aim of the event was to raise awareness about STEM studies and careers. The event became a part of the European STEM Discovery Week and was advertised on the Scientix website.

Mystery Skype with Radom, Poland

Had a great Mystery Skype with students from Radom, Poland today. After guessing where our Skype friends come from we had a lively conversation about our school life, festivals, traditional meals and even sang our favorite songs. Thankful to Natalia Tkachenko for engaging students. It was such a pleasure to see my dear friend Magdalena Dygala! Your students were great! Miss our time in Oxford. Looking forward to our next collaborative projects!

 

Майстер-клас для педагогів стажистів, які викладають іноземні мови

12 жовтня 2016 року на базі гімназії ім. Т. Шевченка було проведено майстер-клас для педагогів стажистів, які викладають іноземні мови, з проблеми «Мультимедійні навчальні проекти на уроках англійської мови як ефективний засіб розвитку навичок XXI століття». Керівники: Таран І.М., методист ЦМСПС та Дудіч Г.В., учитель англійської мови гімназії ім. Т. Шевченка. Молоді педагоги міста подивились і проаналізували три фрагменти уроків з елементами проектної діяльності та з використанням ІКТ: урок Каширної В.А. в 4-му класі на тему «Наші вподобання», урок-екскурсію по шкільному музею Тараса Шевченка, яку провели учні 10 класу під керівництвом Яковцевої І.О. та урок Дудіч Г.В. у 8-му класі на тему "Пам'ятки архітектури України". Молоді вчителі побачили використання таких сучасних засобів навчання, як інтерактивна дошка, смарт-ТВ, окуляри віртуальної реальності, застосунки Sway, Nearpod, Prezi. 

International youth project «Polish - Ukrainian guide of positive actions»

During autumn holidays (20/10/2016-27/10/2016) the students of Taras Shevchenko Himnazia took part in the international youth project called «Polish - Ukrainian Guide of Positive Actions». The initiator and coordinator of the project was Ms. Mirela Szymczak. The coordinator from Ukraine was Iryna Kharchenko. They were also helped by the teachers of English Joanna Krauz-Zalewska from Poland and Hanna Dudich from Ukraine.

Annual pre-school city conference for EFL teachers.

25/08/2016 about 40 EFL teachers from Kropyvnytskyi participated in the Annual Pre-school City EFL Teachers' Conference which took place in Kirovohrad Regional Universal Research Library named after D.I.Chizhevsky  Among the presenters were Svitlana Bondarenko, the local methodologist, Margaryta Kaliuzhna, a MIEExpert and Hanna Dudich, a MIEExpert and a PenPal Schools Global Ambassador.

Svitlana Bondarenko made the analysis of the work of foreign languages teachers in 2015-2016 school year and presented documents from the Ministry of Education for the new school year. Margaryta Kaliuzhna spoke about using Microsoft Office 365 for educational purposes.

Hanna Dudich spoke about developing 21st century skills through project-based learning, introduced ed-tech tools, such as Nearpod and VR kits and encouraged teachers to work with PenPal Schools website.

В перший день роботи над проектом Олена Володимирівна провела вхідне тестування, щоб дізнатись, що учням відомо про видатного драматурга і запропонувала учням переглянути навчальне відео, в якому розповідається про загадку Шекспіра.

 

PenPal Schools

This academic year my 6th and 7th formers participated in PenPal Schools project. I signed up my students for the World Explorer course. All the participants were matched with their own PenPal for a 6-Week exchange. Students watched great videos and practiced reading and writing in English while learning about life in their PenPals country. Here is what they say about their experience:

WINNER of the 2015 School Enterprise Challenge!

Dear friends, I'm so excited to inform you that our school team has become the People Award Winner in the School Enterprise Challenge 2015. The students of the 9-A economic class have done a great job starting their school pastry business called "Anticrisis Hut". Big thanks to all the participants and to the teachers Vanda Levchenko, Olha Lebedeva and Hanna Dudich, who encouraged students to take part in such a serious competition and supported the school enterprise team all the year round. Навчальний проект. "You Are What You Eat"

Participate Learning. Developing 21st century skills through project-based learning.

Recently I came across a very interesting platform for educators called Participate Learning. Participate Learning is a free collection and collaboration platform that lets teachers quickly find, collect and share digital resources. Educators can easily create their own collections from several thousand expert-vetted, standards-aligned resources for hundreds of Pre-K - 12 subject areas. They can also add any URL addressable resources (website, iTunes, YouTube, Dropbox, Evernote, etc.) and upload their own files (lesson plans, pictures, videos, etc.). While building collections, educators can also invite an unlimited number of colleagues and others in their personal learning networks to contribute resources to their collections. The first step is to register for a free account with Participate Learning. You can generate an Embed code for a blog, website or learning management system, and share your collection directly on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest.
