PenPal Schools

 

 

I signed up one of my classes for PenPal Schools. You can choose the course and the start date and the programme will automatically find penpals for your students. Sounds really interesting. It's not just writing about something, the course is very well designed. Check it out!

"PenPal Schools is an online learning community where people of all ages discover other cultures, practice foreign languages, and share perspectives on a variety of topics. Whether we’re connecting 4th graders in California and Ghana to discuss current events or adults in Ohio and Ecuador to practice foreign languages, PenPal Schools brings together learners from different backgrounds to share experiences and learn from one another.

Our mission is to provide excellent learning opportunities worldwide while breaking down cultural barriers, and so we offer PenPal Schools for free so that everyone can participate."

How it works:

"We pair up classes from around the world and match each student with a PenPal for a 6-Week exchange

Students login to our website or mobile app each week to complete standards-aligned assignments focused on language, culture, and current events                    

Students share what they’ve written with their PenPals, who respond with their own ideas and perspectives."
